Play

Schadau Castle in Thun was built between 1847 and 1852 for the aristocratic Neuchâtel and banking dynasty, the de Rougemont family, in the style of the French Loire castles. Its location and architecture make the castle, which is now used as a hotel, one of the most important works of romantic historicism in Switzerland and a cultural asset of national significance.
