Built in the 1760s, the Hôtel-Dieu de Porrentruy was originally a hospital offering refuge and medical care, that was later transformed into a museum and library. Its architecture, which mingles Baroque with Classicism, reflects the spirit of the period in which it was built. The cultural function it acquired in the second half of the 20th century perpetuated the significance of this monument a jewel of the Jura region’s heritage.
