The Clarté building

Genève
Play

The Clarté building was built between 1931 and 1932 on the initiative of the Genevan industrialist Edmond Wanner. The plans for Clarté were drawn up by Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, known as Le Corbusier, and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret. An avant-garde building of 1930’s Geneva, with its sleek silhouette and façades entirely of glass, Clarté was added to the UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2016.
