Situated in the heart of the well-preserved historic village centre of the parish of Balgach in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley is a special gem: the old town hall, dating to 1566, which now serves as the local museum (open by appointment only). This mighty brick-built house has a banqueting hall adorned with unique late Renaissance trompe l’oeil murals.
